As of January 1st, 2017, Montana Community Preservation Alliance joined forces with the Phillips County Farm Bureau to optimize efficiency and effectiveness in addressing issues concerning monuments and bison.  Farm Bureau Beliefs are similar in intent to the MCPA goals, especially with respect to personal property rights.

How We Came To Be

In 2010 former representative Denny Rehberg released leaked documents that he had found from the Department of Interior. It was about the Department of Interior’s plans for more National Monuments. It included a map of the proposed monument area, with a World Wildlife Fund (WWF) logo in the corner of the map. Because of their commitment to local community preservation and quality of life, a group of concerned citizens formed Montana Community Preservation Alliance to try to stop more proposed national monuments in Montana.

Now that MCPA has joined forces with the PC Farm Bureau, we still address the main issues of MCPA, but have the lobbying ability at the state & national level by the Farm Bureau.

The complete Farm Bureau Beliefs can be viewed in the MFBF handbook.  For more information on Farm Bureau policy and regulatory and legislative stances, please visit the American Farm Bureau at www.fb.org/issues/ or the Montana Farm Bureau https://mfbf.org/policy-advocacy.

This website will continue to answers questions about national monuments, free-roaming bison, and other issues related to private property rights and how it will affect our land and hunting quality/rights in Montana. Please continue to read on to see how these issues affect EVERYONE in our beautiful state, as well as across the country.
